Paying Your Student's U-Bill
Viewing your student's academic information, including their U-Bill, requires their authorization.

Students may authorize parents, guardians or other family members to have access to their academic information, including their U-Bill.
Due to federal privacy regulations, we are prohibited from sharing financial information without student consent. Please ask your student to invite you to setup a Guest Account.
IMPORTANT NOTE - If you are a current University of Iowa student or employee with an @uiowa.edu email address, please share that information with your student and ask them to use your University email address for the guest account invitation.
Parent & Guest Information
Setup a HawkID
Individuals who have been invited by their student to have guest account access to their U-Bill on MyUI, will receive an email to complete the HawkID setup process.

Login to MyUI as a Guest
When you login to MyUI, with your guest account HawkID, you will see your student's name displayed with multiple tiles listed below. The tiles give you access to view the information your student authorized.
If you have more than one student linked to your HawkID, you will see a section for each student with tiles displayed below their names.
There is also a section displayed with your name, any tiles selected below your name will display information for your personal account.
Add a Bank Account
Add a bank account in MyUI to enable automatic withdrawal of U-Bill payments from a checking or savings account (do not enter a debit card number). You will need to have your bank or credit union's routing number and your bank account number available when adding the account in MyUI.

Setup a Refund Account to enable direct deposit of credit balance or financial aid refunds to your checking or savings account. You may be prompted to authenticate with Duo.

Make a Payment
If making a payment to your student's account while logged in as a guest, make sure you select the University Bill or Automated Payment tile in your student's section of MyUI.
